Found in Northern Iraq and made of baked clay, six sided dice have been dated back to 3,000 B.C. Evidence points to people playing dice in the New World as early as 5,000 years ago!

Dice have been found to be made of many materials: stone, wood, peach pits, animal horns, ivory, porcelain, bronze, jewels, shells and even teeth!

We don’t know how the games were played but there is evidence that a “C” design was somehow utilized, as some of these were found dug into a clay floor.
